Innovation, Africa and ICT4Humanity — In 2008, I transitioned from a career in journalism and graphic design to work as a full time researcher.
I've been compelled by an interest in Black digital creatives, internet sovereignty on the African continent and human-centered design.
Currently, I am an Associate Professor at the iSchool and the Department of African Cultural Studies at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. I completed
my doctorate at the
University of California, Berkeley, and undergrad degrees at Howard University.
